Superman, the Rector, David Minns, accompanied by Scruffy the dog, took to the zip wire like a veteran, after his recent abseil down Guildford Cathedral.

Older Superheroes headed for the teas and burgers, browsed among the various stalls and had a ‘flutter’ on the tombola and raffle.

The sun shone and the stall holders worked superhard to sell their stock, resulting in over £1,500 being raised towards the upkeep of the parish church.
