Keeping with the Wild West theme, visitors had the opportunity to pan for gold, try their hand at tin can alley as well as have the chance to ride the Rodeo Bull, as pictured here by local dad, Peter Titmuss.

The crowd were entertained by popular live band The Mojo’s, KDF Dance Academy, a gymnastic display from the school’s gymnastics classes and even an unprecedented fly over by the Red Arrows, added to the atmosphere of the day.

A Wild West themed fancy dress competition was held as well as the traditional favourites including a tea tent and cake stall, the annual Governors BBQ, raffle, bouncy castle, face-painting and a variety of stalls including the ever popular plant stall.

Visitors had the opportunity to step back in time and have their photograph take by local photographer mum, Sara Short, in Western style.

Miss Amie Bowers, Head Teacher comments: “Our parent committee team, FORS (Friends of Rudgwick School) work really hard and come up with a different theme each year and each year our summer fete gets better and better.

“I’d personally like to thank FORS and everyone who joined us for our fete, as all funds raised from a day like today go back to the school for all pupils.”
