Politicians must protect the NHS in future

Now that Parliament is reconvening in virtual form, I should like to stress how important it is that our MP, Maria Caulfield, should focus on protecting the NHS, so that it can respond adequately both to the current pandemic and future crises.

It shocks me that, although Boris Johnson had promised that the NHS wouldn’t be for sale, the current Trade Bill would not protect it from trade deals.

I should therefore like to call on Ms Caulfield to make sure the NHS is not opened to creeping privatisation from US companies whose sole concern is making a profit from it.

I should like to add that I have had two operations (one major) in the last four years in NHS hospitals and my treatment was superb. I want it to be like that for everyone, always.
