No land will be left untouched

The report by Richard Gladstone in Bexhill Observer of 1/7/16 relating the fears of new-builds being flooded comes as no surprise.

This type of development on flood plain and areas in danger of water damage are being constructed all over the UK.

We have seen countless times the devastation of peoples homes being flooded not once but several times in recent years and so little seems to be done about it as councils go ahead against any common sense and continue to chase council tax money at whatever the cost.

It mentions in the article that the development at Pebsham Lane has the approval of the Environment Agency, so that’s reassuring, possibly, and there is also clearance from the ‘local planning authority’ of which we have all seen some of the wonderful edifices that they approved in and around Bexhill and environs.

I don’t think that there will be an area of undeveloped land in the UK within fifty years, even if it means wearing wellingtons indoors.
