Museum was closed
OUR granddaughter is visiting us from New Zealand and on Saturday, January 7, as the weather was rather inclement, we thought we would take her to visit the revamped Bexhill Museum.
We therefore telephoned the museum to ascertain opening times and listened to a recorded message which said: “Open Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 5pm; Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, 11am to 5pm.”
So we walked along, only to find the museum shut!
The engraved notice on the door proclaimed the museum was open from February to mid-December, i.e. shut from mid-December to February. What a shame no one could be bothered to change the recorded telephone message to cover the six weeks of closure.
We went to Pevensey Castle instead, which was open and thoroughly enjoyable.
