LETTER: Registering for riverside walk

I write in response to the letter from Mrs Daphne Schreiner which was published in last week’s edition of the West Sussex County Times querying how, if you are without internet access, to register for the the Annual Riverside Walk Event taking place on Saturday, 25th July 2015.

If this is the case, then people wishing to join the event only have to call 07780 701184 to speak to the walk co-ordinator to register their interest in taking part.

All the relevant information on route direction, refeshment stops, timings and pick up locations for the free minibus to take you back to your parked car at the Rugby Club in Hammerpond Road can then be given to participants.

The Riverside Walk is 13 miles in length and follows the rivers and countryside around Horsham, but is never far from the town itself. The annual walk event is free and supported by trained volunteers.

The event starts at the rugby club at 10am on Saturday, 25th July. You can walk at your own pace and leave at other points to make a short walk to suit you, or you can go all the way round to finish at the rugby club.

We’ve already had a great deal of interest in this year’s walk event with lots of participants registering and many people are being sponsored to raise funds for their chosen charity.

Last year’s walk event was a great success and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the improvements to a fantastic facility which is on Horsham’s doorstep.
