It’s time to pedestrianise Eastbourne’s Terminus Road

I agree with Christina Ewbank in the story on page 14, Friday June 5 on tourism recovery plans.

This is now the time to pedestrianise the top end of Terminus Road as the Claremont Hotel is being demolished so the roads are closed in that area.

But has she talked to the bus companies Stagecoach and Brighton and Hove?

The buses that serve the pier are the 99 and the 12X.

Going to town they would go down Terminus Road and turn less into Trinity Trees, the solution would be for them to go down Devonshire Place then turn into South Street.

Or the 12Xs could go via the Winter Garden.

Pressure must be put on EBC to finish the work on Victoria Mansions so that the scaffolding can be taken down.

That would make a big difference. It’s a pity that ESCC have not listened to her on parking charges that are being increased from July.
