The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital would like to express grateful thanks to Eastbourne Lions Club who kindly donated two iPads that are already in use in the Intensive Care Unit at the Eastbourne DGH.

These have enabled seriously ill patients and their loved ones to maintain contact at this difficult time.

Sylvia Harris from the unit has said that these have provided an invaluable link between the patients, their families and the nursing staff and she would like to thank the Lions Club for enabling this to happen so quickly.

I would like to thank everyone who has donated to the Friends appeal for the hard working staff at the DGH.

So far we have provided nearly £7,000 worth of items to make life more comfortable for the staff at this time, with more requests coming in all the time.
