Ice ceam sellers '“ could you please give us a break

JUST a little note to the ice cream men of Littlehampton.

I appreciate that you need to make a living, but is it really necessary to be calling every day in October?

I know that children don't feel the cold, but we parents feel the pinch of having to buy ice cream every time the ice cream man comes calling.

I also know that we don't have to buy one every time, but do have to put up with the tantrums that go with the words "not today" or "it's tea time".

I have two children of ice cream-eating age and 1 a go, seven days a week, that's 14 on ice cream.

On one occasion during the summer, we had two separate vans visit our estate, and I know mums whose children, including mine, thought that they could get one from each.

So please, ice cream men, could we have a break now, as we are trying to save up for Christmas.

Many thanks.

Tiffany Miles,

The Blatchen,

Littlehampton
