Fines should solve the cyclist problem on Eastbourne seafront

The solution to the problem of dangerous cyclists using the prom as their own personal race track seems clear: ‘No Cycling’ signs are large and obvious, less clear, but still visible are signs warning that the fine is £500, so issue a few fines.
Not only would the menace of cycling on the prom disappear, but the depleted council coffers would receive a welcome injection of cash.
Job done.
