I think it’s about time dogs were banned from all public places.

While walking footpaths as permitted daily exercise the amount of dog fouling apparent is dreadful.

Even footpaths through a local churchyard are desecrated by large amounts of dog excrement as is a recreation ground nearby.

The danger of children contracting toxocariasis from dog fouling is significantly increased at the moment as most schools are closed.

This can be a life- damaging disease and at a time when the NHS is under extreme pressure it is surely important that no unnecessary and avoidable additional burden is
imposed.

Dog owners may say that it is only a small number of irresponsible owners who are at fault but it seems to be a much bigger problem than that.
