Common sense?

WHAT is our National Health Service coming to, when you have been told by your GP that no more blood tests are to be carried out at the Westcourt Surgery, in Rustington, except if you have difficulties in getting to Worthing, Southlands or St Richards hospitals?

Why should it be necessary to go all that way, which takes time and expense which most of us have not got to spare.

A blood test at the local surgery, which for most of us is in walking distance, makes sense.

I thought we were supposed to be saving our environment, so how does sending people to a distant hospital, instead of their local surgery help?

Not only are we overloading the phlebotomy service at the hospital, but also the already overstretched parking there, too.

I hope this letter will encourage other patients of Westcourt and other surgeries to complain and then maybe the practise mangers may start listening.
