I wonder if I am the only resident who objects to the defacing of building walls with “art work”.

I believe it to be the case that there are planning constraints for the external rendering of new structures and the display of signage etc.

Yet , albeit that established buildings etc are the property of the owner, they are permitted to deface the exterior of their property with expansive imagery in the name of art and enhancing the town environment.

If I want art work then I will display it in my own home and not impose it on everybody else. I see better art in the form of graffiti on a train journey into London.

That is enough for me.

Council planners please stop this plague before the town looks like a kindergarten class room.
