Appalling example of incompetence or green terrorist takes a guess!

AS the awards season approaches, may I start nominations rolling in the "idiot of the year" category by proposing as the winner the member of the highways department who recently allowed complete closure of the A27 at Arundel at the same time that major roadworks reducing the dual carriageway to a single lane were taking place on the A259 at Rustington.

This was either appalling incompetence or a fiendish plot by a cunningly-planted green terrorist to bring half the county to a grinding halt.

I know which my money would be on.
