Earlier this year, research by the Charities Aid Foundation found 88 per cent of UK households have bought items from a charity shop and as a busy season approaches, St Catherine’s Hospice is looking for new volunteers for their Billingshurst charity shop.

Could you help sort or steam donations? Or serve customers on the till? Then I’d love to hear from you!

I’ll be holding a volunteer recruitment day in St Catherine’s Billingshurst store on 27 October between 9.30am and 12.30pm, so no matter what your age or experience, pop along to find out how you can support your local hospice.

I look forward to meeting you.

Amanda Barber

Volunteer co-ordinator, St Catherine’s Hospice, Malthouse Road, Crawley
