Such vinegar rants only besmirch the principles and qualities Mr Lomas refers to.

A mature and responsible society learns and goes forward rather than seek to recapture a past that never existed.

That must be the outcome of the Referendum not some perverse celebration of vengeance or a teary rewriting of the past.
