The Arun and Chichester Citizens Advice Bureau is appealing for a new volunteer to sign up as an administrator for the cause.

The organisation, based in Anchor Springs, is a lifeline advice service offering information on debt, housing, welfare, employment, family issues and legal woes among many other topics.

The role of an administrator could see the volunteer helping at reception, dealing with the post, keeping records up-tp-date, making appointments for clients and answering the phone.

All those interested would need to be computer literate and available to spare seven hours a week.

A charity which helps homeless people across the area is appealing for people to assist in running one of its breakfast clubs in Littlehampton.

Worthing Churches Homeless Project offers a range of services to homeless people in crisis, from day centres, accommodation projects, resettlement support, to help get them back on their feet.

The charity is this week pleading for volunteers to become breakfast club assistants.

The group runs from the Littlehampton United Church in the High Street Monday to Thursday from 8.30-10am.

The role would involve help greeting clients, taking orders and potentially handling cash. Volunteers would only need to be available one weekday morning a week.

Healthwatch West Sussex needs community engagement volunteers to bolster its ranks.

The organisation is the county’s health and social care watchdog and seeks to gather the views of people using the various services.

It needs volunteers to listen to the experiences of those in the health care system. This could involve going to hospitals, care homes and GP practices.

Help is needed at a home for disabled people in Rustington.

St Bridget’s residential home, in Ilex Close, needs people to volunteer as activity supporters.

The position would see people helping residents getting out to various activities, from swimming sessions and social nights to watching local sporting events.
