Saddling up tohelp hospice

A group of horse riding enthusiasts have raised £7,700 for St Michael’s Hospice.

St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club was formed nine years ago.

“It was originally started by Anna Clayton and Elizabeth Cloutt, who, along with other members in the group, have since been dedicated to holding horse riding events suitable for all ages and abilities.

The group organises various events such as an annual Horse Show, Ride and Walk days, Dog shows, Show Jumping and more.

Barbara Eason has been a member of the Riding Club for six years. “I started to learn to ride on my 50th Birthday and soon became a member of the Riding Club. We had a small committee of five and started to plan events for the whole year.
