NEW VISITOR CENTRE

ALFRISTON looks set to get it's own visitor centre soon.Visitors to the village will be able to pick up leaflets and information from an office at the back of Not Just Chocolate in The Cross House, Market Square.

Cllr Sheila Charlton said: 'The area is surplus to trading requirements at the moment and now Wealden's tourist office at the Boship has shut we thought this would provide a useful and convenient service for visitors.'

It could offer a booking service for accommodation within the Cuckmere Valley.

As it develops it could add a range of local-based books, walkers' guides, bird-watching leaflets and information on footpaths.
