New vision for Station Plaza revealed...

A NEW vision for Station Plaza went on display to town residents at the Priory Meadow centre last week.

Curious neighbours gathered at the shopping centre from Thursday to Saturday to peruse plans for the 75m development, hailed as a luxurious gateway to the town.

Designs presented by Sea Space for this key quadrant in the town's regeneration include luxury apartments, office space, shops and a medical centre.

If plans are approved, work could begin in early spring for a projected 2009 finish.

The plans were put on display just weeks after the unveiling of the town's new 9m station, complete with family waiting room and sleek futuristic design.

The old station building was demolished last week.
