MP drops inPupils have a chance to quiz Huw Merriman

Little Common School were pleased to receive a recent visit from Bexhill MP Huw Merriman.

Mr Merriman enjoyed a tour of the school and chatted to last year’s School Council about their role before being guest of honour in assembly where he answered lots of questions and presented this year’s School Council with their badges.

Year 5 children from the school also enjoyed a trip to Hastings where they discovered a lot about the coastline and paid a visit to the Smugglers Adventure at St Clements Caves.

Sue Cherry, from the school said: “ Children have been learning about Smuggling in Sussex in class. The children have been fascinated to learn that Smuggling was rife, even in Little Common.”
