Mountfield

SHORT AND SWEET: We’ve only a very short Village Voice for you this week as we have been away for the last two weeks. In fact, such are the deadlines for this column, that we are typing this in deepest Dartmoor, returning on Friday the 13th! So just a couple of items.

JUMBLE SALE: A reminder that tomorrow (Saturday 14th) is the next drop off day for your jumble, bric à brac, priceless antiques, whatever you have to offer. The Village Hall will be open after lunch from 2.00 to 4.00. There will one final drop off day in March before the big event itself on Saturday March 21st: grand sale, plus raffle and refreshments. If you haven’t ringed it on the kitchen calendar, do it now.

MOUNTFIELD CLUB: The Club’s snooker team suffered a surprise 3-2 away defeat away to Battle C in their push for promotion. There were wins for Kevin Gray and Andy Saunders. This result means that Mountfield’s lead at the top has now been cut to just a single point.
