Lifeboat rescues man stuck in mud
The call was made at 8:30pm after they received a report of a person calling for help from the River Rother at Rock Channel in Rye.
When they arrived on scene they found a 45 year old male with a walking aid, stuck in the mud.

Hide AdWith the assistance of a basket stretcher, the crew was able to recover the casualty in to the lifeboat.
Once in the lifeboat, the casualty was taken to Rye Harbour RNLI Lifeboat station where a paramedic and ambulance were waiting.
On arrival, the casualty was transferred to the ambulance for onward transportation to the Conquest Hospital at Hasting as he showed symptoms of hypothermia.
