Knife raiders bring terror to filling station
The Ford Sierra used in the raid was later found dumped in Ninfield Road, Sidley. So far the stolen tills have not been located.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery which took place at about 10.30 on Sunday night at the Texaco garage in Bexhill Road, Ninfield.

Hide AdTwo men wearing black balaclavas and armed with a small knife burst in and demanded cash.
One member of staff was in the office area at the time and another was in the main shop.
No-one was injured during the incident. Staff at the filling station this week declined to talk about their experience.
Police believe there was a female passenger in the Sierra as it sped off. The abandoned car was found at 8am on Monday.

Hide AdOne raider is described as wearing a dark blue hoody, light grey tracksuit bottoms with two dark stripes down the side, and white trainers.
The second is described as wearing dark blue tracksuit trousers with a white logo on a pocket and small white stripes on the lower legs.
Inspector Dick Coates said yesterday that three people had been arrested in connection with the raid. Two had been bailed and one was still being questioned.
He added: "We are now awaiting the result of a forensic examination made at the scene.".
