Harvest sharing at Charters Ancaster

Charters Ancaster pupils and parents learned about giving thanks and sharing at the school's Harvest Festival.

Children from the main school and nursery all contributed to the service with songs and prayers.

There was a short address by the Rev'd David King, who showed the children about sharing, using a couple of bags of grapes.

The brass ensemble's contribution, which won a prize in this summer's Hastings festival, was a particular highlight. The older children sang a Harvest Samba, while the whole school joined in a French harvest song. Everyone in school contributed towards the collection of food which will go to Bexhill's Caring Community for Christmas food parcels for those in need.
