Hands off our hospitals!
A show of strength they wanted and a mass outcry they got. Thousands took to Worthing seafront, heeding the 'Save Our Hospitals' rallying cry.
In the biggest demonstration seen in the town for decades, the numbers grew as people marched from the Aquarena in the east and the bottom of George V Avenue in the west, converging on Worthing Pavilion Theatre for a public meeting.
