Girl, 4, hit by motorcycle in Bognor Regis

A four-year old Bognor girl is recovering in hospital after she was hit by a motor cycle that left the road.

The girl was walking with her mother in Shripney Road, Bognor, 100 yards south of Shripney Lane, at about 2.30pm on Sunday, February 20, when she was hit by a northbound motor cycle which left the road and struck her after first hitting a lamppost.

The girl received fractures to a leg and arm, and was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, but her condition is not described as life threatening. Her mother was not hit.

The 31-year old Bognor man riding the motorcycle received slight injuries.

A Sussex Police spokesman said; “The incident is being investigated and we would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or saw the multi-coloured Honda 400 motorcycle in the moments leading up to the collision.
