Gamers seek a home for club to meet

Games enthusiasts are hoping others will join them to enable a meeting place to be opened in Bognor Regis for their pastime.

Members of the wargaming club BRGA want to set up a home for the club which have adult and teen members. The 12 to 16-year-olds will also have their own section under another ambition of the club.

They are working with Bognor Regis Community College's youth wing but need to recruit more adult gamers. More details from club leader Frank Hill on 07896 319683.

BRGA is an official Gaming Club Network outfit which is run on a not- for-profit basis. Its main event in the past year was a charity gaming, Thrudbowl, held at the college.

The occasion benefited Cancer Research UK by 948.30. Coaches from around the UK played the American football-style board game Bloodbowl, outbid each other in a charity auction and enjoyed some beer. Next year's Thrudbowl organiser, Althea Simmons, is counting on donations from modelling shops and the generosity of fellow wargamers to better that success next time round. She can be contacted on the www.thrudbowl.com website.
