Two friends decided they wanted to do something a bit different for charity last month and a skydive seemed the obvious choice.

Laura Pearson, 34, from Coldwaltham, and Hannah Bishop, 19,from Amberley, completed the 10,000ft jump last month and loved it so much they both want to do it again.

Hannah said: “It was really amazing and I would love to do it again.

“I have always wanted to do a skydive but I couldn’t find anyone to do it with. I just wanted to do something different and skydiving is something not many people do.”

Both girls have chosen different charities to donate to. Hannah chose Diabetes UK as her father suffers with the disease, and has raised more than £1,200 for the cause.

Laura meanwhile has chosen charity Winston’s Wish, which helps bereaved children, because of the help they have given her and her family over the last nine years and so far has raised £400 with more still to come.

She said: “Hannah had been talking about doing a skydive at work and no one would do it with her so I said I would. It was just the best thing in the world and I would definitely do it again.”

Both girls said they would like to thank everyone who donated and supported them through the last few months.
