He absconded from the prison with Mark Chatfield, 39, who was jailed for four years for burglary in August, 2014, after he broke into a home in Guildford in 2013.

Fudge was arrested by police in Kent on Saturday (July 4) and returned to custody.

“Thanks to the public and the media for their help tracing him,” said a spokesman.

Police are still seeking Chatfield.
