Festival funds from Bersted

Two animal charities are to benefit from Â£500 between them thanks to this year's successful Bersted parish festival.

The Ray Stede Animal Rescue Trust and the PDSA will be receiving their cheques from Bersted Parish Council.

The money represents donations from those who attended the popular occasion.

Parish council assistant clerk Jenny Forrest organised the fete with its host of attractions for all the family.

They included sideshows, classic cars, stalls and a dog show and display.
