Crowds were entertained by performances from the Coastal Twirlers, Lindy Hop dancers, and the Icini belly dancers and there were demonstrations of martial arts as well as a display of vintage military vehicles.

The Military Preparation College, from St Leonards, demonstrated their skills and took part in a truck-pull challenge.

The day finished with a ‘sunset’ ceremony at 3.45pm.

Armed Forces Day was devised to give people a chance to show their support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community.
