Clearer meat labelling will make sure you are buying British meat

Goodwood week has come and gone and the dry weather continues despite the occasional thunderstorm.

It's been perfect for harvesting in the south and the bulk of the crop has been completed in record time with very few problems, but yields are generally down in both grain and straw.

This together with the continuing drought spells toruble for livestock farmers this winter. Cuts of hay and silage have been below average throughout the summer and there is little chance of an extra cut for silage with the dry weather.
