Eastbourne spends second-most at coffee shops in all of UK
On average people in town spend £10.92 in cafés each morning – second only to Harrogate which apparently spends £11.09.
This vastly overshadows nearby Brighton, which the report says spends on average just £3.42 per person each morning.

In analysis of consumer spending data in cities across the UK, the data found the average Brit spends much less than an Eastbourne resident – around £4.44 on breakfast.
The busiest time for commuters to buy their brew is 8.54am, at which point card transactions in coffee shops and cafes hit their peak each morning.
It also found 85 per cent of all transactions were being made via contactless.
The data revealed significant variations across regions, with the ‘Breakfast Rush’ differing by as much as three and a half hours up and down the UK.
