East Preston cocaine courier sentenced to six years

AN EAST Preston man who pleaded guilty to his part in a county-wide cocaine ring, worth an estimated £450,000, has been sentenced to six years in prison, police have said.

Barry Harlow, 65, of Arlington Crecent, pleaded guilty to his role in the drugs ring, during an earlier trial in January, after Sussex Police mounted an operation to crack down on the distribution of the class A drug.

On Friday (February 24) police said that Harlow, who had been described by senior officers as the gang’s “drug courier”, had received his prison sentence during a follow-up trial at Lewes Crown Court, at the end of January.
