Dressing Down Day at Hastings Direct for SASBAH

STAFF at Hastings Direct dressed down on Friday - quite literally!

It was the launch of the company's year of fundraising for SASBAH - the charity Hastings Direct has adopted for 2009.

SASBAH is the Sussex Association of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.

Staff raised around 1000 on the day - and management have doubled it.

This will cover the running costs of the charity's new minibus for 12 months. The minibus was donated free of charge to SASBAH from another charity.

Rom Sanglaji, general manager of SASBAH, attended Hastings Direct on Friday along with his staff colleagues and service users.

He said the charity was very grateful to Hastings Direct for everything it is doing to support SASBAH.

Jay Wootton, chairman of the company's charity committee, said it had been a fun day at Hastings Direct.

Many other fundraising events are in the pipeline.
