Curves support breast cancer awareness campaign

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Curves, the 30 minute fitness and weightloss centres for ladies, is aiming to distribute over one million breast self-examination kits across the world.

The campaign is being led in conjunction with Olivia Newton-John, herself a breast cancer survivor and thriver.

Regular exercise, a healthy diet and regular self-examinations are proven to be of significant benefit in the prevention, detection and treatment of breast cancer.

There will be a "Pink Day" on October 17 when members will be encouraged to do their workout in something suitably pink-y for an optional donation.

In addition during the whole month, members can sign up for a sponsored "Lose Lbs, Raise s" event.

Half the joining fees for the month of October will also go to charity.

All the monies raised in October will be donated evenly to Breast Cancer Care and St Michael's Hospice.
