Men dressed in fancy dress are suspected to have been involved in an altercation on a bus in Worthing – which led to a double assault.

Sussex Police said a man and a woman were assaulted at about 3.30am on October 30 at the Brighton Road bus stop. It happened shortly after they had left the Stagecoach 700 bus near the junction with Windsor Road.

“It was reported that there was an altercation on board the bus involving other passengers on board, including some men dressed in fancy dress with white laboratory coats,” a police spokesperson said.
