Teenagers arrested in Eastbourne over heroin and assault offences

Police said officers entered a property in Redoubt Road on Friday, April 3, after receiving information relating to the supply of drugs from the address.

According to officers, two teenagers fled the scene – one was arrested in Redoubt Road and the other in nearby Latimer Road.

Police said a 17-year-old boy from Lewisham, London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class A drug, which was heroin.

He appeared in court on April 3 and is next due to appear at Hastings Magistrates’ Court on May 4.

Officers said a 17-year-old boy from Wembley, London, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.

He appeared in court on April 4 and was released on conditional bail until a suitable court date can be arranged.
