Council paves the way for smooth walking

CONTRACTORS will be taking steps to improve pavements on a Littlehampton housing estate from next week (starting October 20).

The 30,645 scheme to clean and refurbish pavements along Admirals Walk, Ensign Way, Armada Way and The Moorings can be carried out only in dry weather, so an exact start and end date for the works cannot be given. It is hoped it will be finished in a three-week period.

West Sussex County Council is funding the scheme, which will include laying an asphalt surface and general maintenance.

Street parking may be suspended in stages during the course of the scheme.

It will be carried out Monday to Friday, from 8am-5pm and occasionally on Saturdays from 8am-4pm.
