Congregation gather to say farewell to Minister

The Reverend Paul Cockburn, Minister at Horsham Methodist Church, in London Road, who is moving shortly to Sleaford, in Lincolnshire, was presented with gifts, including socks and a plant, together with a cheque, at a farewell evening on Saturday July 16.

A beautifully decorated cake was also presented and enjoyed by all those who had come to wish the popular Minister and his wife, Sue, well in their new appointment.

During Rev Cockburn’s last service on Sunday July 31, in which he preached on the text ‘I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly’ (John 10:10), the congregation gathered for a photo to mark the occasion.

In October, the congregation will be welcoming a new Minister, but in the interim, the normal pattern of worship, prayer and community outreach will continue.
