Colourful vistas at village's spring flower show

THE colourful spring show at Ninfield Memorial Hall on Saturday was an 'excellent' start for the diamond year of Ninfield Horticultural Society.

Organiser Rose Franks said: “Narcissi and flowers entries were up both in number and quality, and all other classes were well represented.

“The floral art entries were very impressive. Handicraft entries still need to increase, but the judge praised levels of skills demonstrated.

“The pre-school group display for Paint a Daffodil provided a colourful greeting for visitors to the Hall.”

Overall there were 258 entries from 60 entrants.

The next event for the society is the annual plant sale on April 16. This is followed by the diamond celebration evening with Pippa Greenwood on June 4.
