Charity grotto at at Hassocks garden centre
Seven young families supported by YMCA Sussex visited Father Christmas thanks to The Budding Foundation which provided the tickets to the grotto, at South Downs Nurseries in Hassocks.
“It was lovely to meet and spend time with everyone who came to Santa’s Magical Woodland Retreat”, said Clive Gravett, founder of the Budding Foundation which runs the grotto at the Hassocks garden centre.
YMCA Downs Link group provide supported accommodation to vulnerable young people aged 16-25 and ensured the group could make the journey. Their spokesman said: “Thank you so much to the Budding Foundation and to Tates Garden Centres for creating a truly magical experience for our young families. We felt lucky to enjoy a day out all together and the children who just loved meeting Santa and his elves. Thank you for your continued support.”
