Charities win with ball night at Walberton

The money made it a successful night at the Hilton Avisford Park's black tie and diamonds ball.

The glittering occasion was in aid of the Winston's Wish Sussex charity and the Hilton in the Community Foundation.

More than 140 guests filled the venue. They enjoyed a champagne reception and a charity auction and raffle. Prizes included a Freddie Flintoff signed cricket bat.

Hotel general manager Howard Lewis said: "It was a terrific night and a great way for everyone associated with our hotel to get together in support of a good cause."
