Care homes to be merged

Residential care homes run by the county council at Midhurst and Petworth are set to close and be amalgamated in new purpose-built accommodation, as part of a £45 million county-wide project aimed at delivering improved care.

Rother House at Midhurst and Courtlea, Petworth, are among candidates for a merger.

The announcement came in a statement from West Sussex County Council that it had selected a preferred bidder to invest in new facilities.
