Brede’s giant steam engines

People will have two opportunities to view giant Victorian steam engines in action at Brede Waterworks over the Easter weekend.

The magnificent engines, once to pump water from below the Brede Valley, will be on show at Open Days on Easter Saturday (April 4) and Easter Monday (April 6) from 10am - 4pm.

Brede Waterworks is situated in the Brede Valley and signposted from the A28 at the top of Brede Hill by St George’s Church.

Admission is free and there is ample free parking. Guided tours will take place,

A tea bar will be serving light refreshments and home-made cakes.

The engines were restored by Brede Steam Engine Society.
