BREAKING NEWS: Road closed due to Cowfold accident

A road has been closed to traffic due to an accident and a fallen tree.

The A281 is blocked in both directions between Cowfold village and Crabtree Gate following the incident between Cowfold and the junction with Picts Lane this morning (Saturday, August 20).

The section of road was the scene of another collision late last year.

Last November one person was flown to hospital with life-threatening head injuries after a serious crash in Cowfold on the A281 between Cowfold and its junction with Picts Lane.

Three people had to be cut free by firefighters after a BMW and a VW Polo collided with each other.
