Sushi restaurant Kokoro and clothing retailer Jigsaw have both announced they will be opening new stores in the town as signs went up inside two shop windows advertising the retailers’ imminent arrivals.

The stores are set to open in West Street which has seen many retail casualities over the past year with the latest being the recent loss of HMV.

However, Kokoro is set to fill one of these empty units as it takes over the shop vacated by the West Cornwall Pasty Shop which closed back in April 2014 after the company entered administration.

The sushi and bento restaurant will be the eighth shop to open in the chain and company director Eun Ko said he was very excited to be moving to Horsham.

He said: “Horsham is quite a good place to get a shop.

“I am very exited to be opening. I am very excited to meet the Horsham people.”

He added he hoped the shop would be ready within the next week and estimated it could be open by April 8.

Clothing retailer Jigsaw has also announced it will be moving into the town.

A spokesperson confirmed the move but could not announce when the store is set to open.

The shop will be taking over the unit previously occupied by mobile phone retailer Phones 4 U who were also forced to close back in September due to the company entering administration.
