Body found near Chichester Harbour

A photo taken in West Wittering this morning (Thursday, July 20) showed a Coastguard vehicle and a police car responding to an incident.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police responded to reports of a body found close to Chichester Harbour around 7.53am.

"The man, in his 60s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and this will now be a matter for the coroner."
