Bike thefts on the up in Littlehampton

FOUR bikes, worth £670, were taken from a Littlehampton garden overnight.

It happened between 1.30am and 3am this morning (Wednesday Septmber 16), in Fastnet Way. A blue and black BMX Magnum, a black and pink BMX Apollo Awesome and two Outrage mountain bikes, both black and cream in colour, were taken.

Sgt Peter Allan, of Littlehampton police, said that there had been an increase in such thefts in the last few weeks, and advised residents to secure their bikes at all times.

He added that police offered a free bike marking service at the station.
